Product Name: Fantastic Rice Crackers

Nutritionals: 425kJ (101cal), 21.2g total carbs, 1/7g protein per 25g serve (1 row)

Pros: I struggle to find something positive to say about rice crackers – they are high GI, heavily refined, contain flavour enhancers and almost as much carbs as 2 slices of bread. I guess they are gluten free.

Cons: See above – often considered ‘healthy’, these are an energy dense, nutrient poor choice of snack that can easily be overconsumed.

Rating: 1 star. I never recommend rice crackers. Rice cakes, corn cakes or wafer thins a million times better

Tips: If you buy a packet, you will eat then entire pack and consume 80+g of total carbohydrates. There are much better options out there. If you must have rice crackers, at least choose the wholegrain varieties.

Susie thank you for your opinions. As I mentioned earlier why not focus on the science lab ingredients that are designed to confuse everyone. I’m sure other people feel the same way. We really need to know more about what goes into packaged food. Also where our fresh fruits and vegetables come from. Please I implore you. Thanks for considering my concerns.

Gluten free? How is that a pro ? Gluten is certainly not bad for you, and to think otherwise is simply ignorant. The only reason one might consider purchasing gluten free products is if they have an intolerance to gluten.
