Freekeh is a roasted grain that comes from young green wheat. As the grain is picked and roasted when it is still green it retains a high proportion of protein, fibre and a number of key nutrients.40g or just less than 1/2  a cup serve, Freekeh offers 160cal, 7g of protein, 36g of carbs and almost 6g of fibre.

Freekeh can be a great carb choice to compliment salads or used in mixed dishes adding much flavour with its nutty taste.
