Our motivation is to offer those who are generally interested in looking after their health and their weight long term, scientifically sound, practical advice on how to approach weight control from a broader perspective. Instead of targeting diets and training in isolation via models of restriction, deprivation and punishment we will be exploring the motivation, psychology, hormonal factors and self-regulatory variables that differentiate those who control their weight compared to those who spend their lives following the latest weight loss fad, and who never seem to make significant progress.
